Music Background:

 

  • Studied classical piano for 29 years, receiving a Superior ranking consecutively in the National Piano Auditions - National Guild of Piano Teachers, Teacher Division of American College of Musicians.

  • Received perfect performance and First Place with plaque at the Miami-Dade County Fair piano competitions over consecutive years.

  • Composed and performed on keyboard with the Miami-Dade Community College Rock Camp band at Tobacco Road in the summer of 2007 and 2008.

  • Composed and performed Masonic music for Hibiscus Lodge #275 F&AM of Miami, FL.

  • Performed at the national “Celebrating the Craft” event at the Scottish Rite “House of the Temple” in Washington D.C. in 2014.

About:

 

Joscar Poerschke was born and raised in Miami Florida and began learning piano at the age of 5. Joscar was home schooled and had private instructors on classical piano, guitar, and voice. His background is music, acting, and the performing arts.

​

Joscar Poerschke was raised in Hibiscus Lodge #275 to the sublime degree of Master Mason in August of 2011 and began composing Masonic Avant-garde in 2012.  Joscar has traveled throughout the United States and Canada performing his Masonic music and giving his lecture.  Joscar is a 32nd Degree Mason of the Scottish Rite Valley of Miami, Orient of Florida.  In 2014 Joscar was selected by the Scottish Rite to perform his music for the “Celebrating the Craft” event at the House of the Temple in Washington D.C.  Joscar became Worshipful Master of Hibiscus Lodge #275 for 2017. His home lodge is South Miami Lodge #308 and is an honorary member of Coral Gables Lodge #260, Orange Blossom Lodge #80, and Royal Palm Lodge #100.​​​​​
